London Has Fallen

Remember Olympus Has Fallen!! I am sure you do.  Well the wait is officially over as Mr all action, bullet flying, trigger happy all out super human Gerard Butler is back in the sequel London Has Fallen.

Thanks Gerard, you only kept us glued to our seats for three years lol.  That said, this promises to be just as good as the first release in 2013.  

London Has Fallen is a pure Hollywood sequel at its finest.  Its predecessor Olympus Has Fallen from 2013 was such a simple blockbuster that made me immediately want some more after watching it. A film that just threw at a lot of action at you and it followed the same format of director Antoine Fuqua's other filmography who's known for making action films. Olympus Has Fallen so much exceeded expectations at the box office so it only makes sense a sequel follows. 

The film does really well is depicting London as the setting.  From set locations, culture, and the British people, it surely feels like London even with it being just a Hollywood film.  If this film makes money, (I think it will) expect the next installment to be in another famous and glamorous city like Paris or Los Angeles. So far, the settings of these films are the main selling point, And of course Gerard and Morgan.

London Has Fallen is basically what most March blockbusters are.  A film with some pretty good action.

Storyline

After the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances, all leaders of the Western world must attend his funeral. The President of the United States, his formidable secret service head and an English MI-6 agent who trusts no one are the only people that have any hope of stopping it.

President Asher says of the UK that they are "our oldest and strongest ally". While being the strongest is possible, they are by no means the oldest. France is the United States oldest ally; having been so almost immediately after independence was declared. The alliance was formalized by a treaty signed in early 1778. The UK, on the other hand, was at war with the USA at the time since England was the country Americans were fighting to be independent of. The two countries were at war again in 1812 and often at odds for various territorial and trade disputes throughout the 19th century. The relationship only warmed up early in the 20th century and the United States and the UK became truly allies for the first time during the First World War.
